I've got Windows 7, Steam, and used to have a physical copy, and I easily meet the minimum requirements, and in fact, the Auto-Detect settings put me on maximum! Plain and simple, no matter what mod I play, the game freezes eventually, forcing me to do a Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out of it.
A good compliment to any SW nerd or space game lover in general (Like me!) With mods enabled it is a totally different story.
